One Mega Millions lottery ticket sold in Ohio matched all five numbers plus the Mega Ball to grab the $25 million jackpot in last night's Mega Millions multi-state lottery drawing.
According to the Ohio Lottery, the winning ticket was sold in the Cleveland suburb of Broadview Heights.
The winning numbers were: 8, 26, 28, 33 and 53, with a Mega Ball number of 11. The Megaplier multiplier number was 4.
In addition to the big winner, four lucky players matched the first 5 numbers for to capture second prize: 2 from California, 1 from Maryland, and 1 from Virginia.
For the Maryland and Virginia players, that means a payday of $250,000 each, but the two California players will be taking home $85,975 each. That's because California pays all prizes using a pari-mutuel formula that calculates the prize based on the amount wagered and the number of winners.
This is the second Mega Millions jackpot win in eleven days. The last Mega Millions jackpot was a $140 million prize won in the state of Michigan. The winner has not yet claimed the prize.
The next Mega Millions jackpot scheduled for Friday is $12 million.
